Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HGV Service Administrator to join our dynamic team on a full time basis, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm. In this vital role, you will coordinate all aspects of vehicle servicing and maintenance for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service. Your energetic approach will help streamline processes, manage customer interactions, and support the service team in delivering high service standards. Duties
- Manage scheduling and booking of HGV service appointments, ensuring timely and efficient operations
- Liaise with customers to provide updates on vehicle status, answer queries, and promote additional services through upselling opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of all service transactions, including cash handling and invoicing procedures
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure all mechanical work is properly documented and completed according to standards
- Assist with inventory management of parts and supplies needed for vehicle servicing
- Support the service team by processing payments, issuing receipts, and handling customer inquiries with professionalism
- Promote a positive customer experience by providing clear communication, addressing concerns promptly, and upselling relevant services when appropriate
- Updating and managing company social media
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge or experience working within vehicle maintenance environments
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and securely
- Proven ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling
- Effective communication skills to liaise with customers, technicians, and suppliers
- Previous experience in administrative roles within automotive or logistics sectors is advantageous
