Our client is seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant to join their small but rapidly expanding group of companies. This opportunity will be supporting all the purchase and sales ledger functions within the busy but friendly accounts team and will be reporting to the Financial Controller and offer exposure to all parts of the business.
Job Description for the Part-time Accounts Assistant role:
- Ads the Part-time Accounts Assistant you will be logging, maintaining, and filing purchase invoices
- Raising Sales invoices
- As the Part-time Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for payment authorisation and processing
- Supporting the operational teams with finance administration.
- As the Part-time Accounts Assistant you will be posting and monitoring petty cash
- Investigating purchase ledger queries
- As the Part-time Accounts Assistant you will be creating company reports
- Liaising with suppliers
- Managing Cashflow and bank reconciliations
- As the Part-time Accounts Assistant you will be dealing with Expenses
- Reconciling Credit Control and chasing outstanding debt.
- Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc queries
Candidate Requirements for the Part-time Accounts Assistant role:
- Proven purchase/sales ledger experience or previous accounts assistant experience
- Sage 50 experience is essential
- A flexible and self-motivated individual
- Someone who works well in a team and has good IT skills
This role would suit candidates with the following experience: Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Administrator, Finance Assistant
This role is commutable from: Stoke on Trent, Trentham, Stone, Newcastle under Lyme, Stone, Hanley, Fenton, Longton and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday – Friday between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm working 20 hours per week, ideally 4 hours over five days. Will consider 3 full days
Salary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour
