Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team for Night shift. This role involves providing essential support and guidance to working age adults, fostering their development and well-being in a caring environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working with adults with learning disabilities/autism, and teaching life skills, contributing positively to the lives of those they support.
Duties
- Offer personalised support to working aged adults, encouraging their social and emotional development
- Assist with daily activities, including community access, recreation, and personal care where appropriate
- Implement programmes that promote learning, independence, and confidence-building
- Act as a positive role model through mentoring and supportive engagement
- Support behavioural management strategies in line with organisational policies
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure holistic support for individuals
- Organise engaging activities that foster learning and social interaction
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any concerns in accordance with organisational guidelines
Qualifications
- Experience as a support worker and Care Certificate
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative
- Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities
- Relevant qualifications or training in childcare or social care are advantageous but not essential
- A genuine commitment to supporting the development and well-being of children and young people
