We're looking for a friendly, organised and client-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our welcoming team for 20 hours per week.
About your new role!
Our reception team is the heart of the practice. As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll create a warm, professional welcome while helping the day run smoothly behind the scenes. You'll work closely with our clinical team to ensure both pets and their owners receive an exceptional experience from the moment they walk through the door.
This role is ideal if you're looking for a position that fits around school hours, with shifts available:
Monday to Friday (20 hours per week)
- 8:45am to 12:45pm or
- 9:00am to 1:00pm
As a Veterinary Receptionist some of your duties will include:
- Welcoming clients and providing excellent customer service in person, over the phone and via email.
- Booking appointments and referrals, ensuring clients receive the information they need.
- Supporting the clinical team by keeping clients updated on appointment delays and promoting nurse clinics where appropriate.
- Processing payments, insurance claims and maintaining accurate client records.
- Managing client food orders and general reception administration.
- Assisting with basic financial administration, including cash handling and banking when required.
- Keeping the reception area clean and tidy.
About you
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people just as much as they love animals.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous reception experience within a veterinary or healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A friendly, professional approach and confidence working in a busy environment.
- A genuine love of animals of all shapes and sizes.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £26,436.80 FTE (based on a 40-hour week).
