Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Milling Operator to join our team in Loughborough. This role is ideal for someone with experience operating milling machines who takes pride in producing high-quality components and is eager to further develop their skills in setting and programming.
Responsibilities
- Operating CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Producing components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Carrying out in-process and final inspection using micrometers, verniers, gauging equipment
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following company procedures for quality and safety
Experience
- Proven experience in CNC milling operations within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in tooling, machining processes, and material properties.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and experience with CAD/CAM programming.
- Hands-on experience with grinding, welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills for interpreting technical drawings and measurements.
- Experience working with tooling setups and understanding of manufacturing tolerances.
