Job Description:
We are looking for Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants to support pupils who face significant challenges, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, complex family difficulties, and childhood trauma. This is for Alternative Provision settings across the NG7 area of Nottingham.
The Role:
- Support primary and secondary pupils with complex SEMH and trauma-related needs.
- De-escalate challenging situations calmly using your Team Teach training.
- Deliver creative, engaging learning interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Establish firm, fair, and consistent boundaries to create a safe learning space.
- Act as a positive, charismatic role model, fostering confidence and emotional growth.
Requirements:
- Valid Team Teach certification is essential.
- Full-time availability (5 days per week) is mandatory for consistency.
- Proven resilience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
- High energy, creativity, and excellent communication skills.
- A deep understanding of trauma-informed practice and SEMH.
