Volunteer Youth Football Coach Community Football Sessions
Youth Foundation Academy CIC is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Volunteer Youth Football Coaches to support the growth of our Youth Football division.
We are expanding our community football programme, providing affordable and accessible football sessions for children and young people. Our aim is simple: give more young people the opportunity to play football regularly, develop their ability, stay active, build confidence and enjoy the game.
This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring and developing football coaches looking to gain practical experience while making a positive impact within the community.
What You’ll Do
- Support and deliver fun, structured football sessions
- Deliver technical drills, ball mastery and small-sided games
- Help players develop confidence, teamwork and football understanding
- Adapt activities for different abilities and experience levels
- Create an energetic, positive and inclusive environment
- Support safe setup and use of equipment
- Encourage discipline, respect and positive behaviour
- Work alongside our coaching and youth development team
- Follow YFA safeguarding, welfare and health & safety procedures
Who We’re Looking For
We’d particularly like to hear from young and aspiring coaches, sports students, grassroots coaches and individuals looking to build their coaching experience.
Essential:
- 18+
- Passion for football and youth development
- Confident working with children and young people
- Reliable, energetic and approachable
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Willing to complete the required safeguarding and background checks
Desirable:
- Football or sports coaching qualification
- Introduction to Coaching Football / equivalent
- Safeguarding training
- First Aid qualification
- Enhanced DBS
- Sports Coaching, PE or Sports Science student/graduate
- Previous grassroots or youth coaching experience
