St Peter's Hospital is a specialist service supporting individuals living with degenerative neuropsychiatric conditions, acquired brain injuries, complex neurological disorders, dementia, and mental health conditions. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team and help people achieve greater independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

About the Role
As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will manage a varied caseload and deliver person-centred, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to individuals with complex needs. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions that support functional independence, community engagement, and meaningful occupation.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete functional assessments using both top-down and bottom-up approaches.
- Assess and support activities of daily living, including washing, dressing, feeding, mobility, transfers, and community access.
- Deliver individual and group occupational therapy interventions.
- Support patients to maintain independence, social participation, and quality of life.
- Contribute to specialist rehabilitation programmes within neurological and mental health settings.
- Assist with assessment and provision of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Participate in community-based rehabilitation and risk assessments.
- Evaluate intervention outcomes and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
- Apply best practice and evidence-based approaches in all areas of practice.

Multidisciplinary Working
- Work collaboratively with nurses, psychologists and physiotherapists.
- Contribute to MDT meetings, CPA reviews, and care planning processes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers, and external agencies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in community rehabilitation and risk assessment.
- Experience supporting patients on Section 17 leave and under DoLS.
- Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).
- Membership of relevant specialist interest groups.
- Full, clean driving licence.
