Wilson Associates Ltd are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our clients engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets their standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare metal parts and components for coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding as needed
- Operate powder coating equipment safely and efficiently to apply even coats on designated items
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring proper coverage and adherence to specifications
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to uphold safety standards and production flow
- Assist with basic fabrication, assembly, or touch-up tasks as required during the coating process
- Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment or parts
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Warehouse experience or background in construction painting is a plus
- Ability to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of welding techniques is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and lifting throughout shifts
Please not this is a night shift position, applicants must be flexible for shifts to suit the clients needs.
Pay: £16.95 per hour
