Requirements of a Senior Aquatic and Activity Activator
- Hold the Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification or STA Award and Certificate
- Hold the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers or achieve/working towards within 6 months of employment.
- Hold the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or have the ability to complete within the first 3 months of employment
- Have work experience or volunteering in a customer facing capacity
- Have recent experience of leading and supervising groups in a variety of aquatic & activity programmes.
- Flexibility with working hours (daytime, evenings and weekends are a must) and the ability to travel to all KAL facilities and across the Kirklees area and at short notice
Responsibilities of a Senior Aquatic and Activity Activator
- Plan, lead, coach, and deliver engaging swimming and activity sessions throughout KAL, following KAL Swim Scheme of Work and Expected Standards.
- Your delivery schedule will be based on business requirements, and as a senior aquatic and activity activator, you will be expected to be a 'roaming' activator, regularly working across all facilities.
- Line management responsibility of workforce within your business area
- Manage administrative responsibilities associated with the post, which include, but are not limited to; continuously updating the GoLearn, Plus 2, and SharePoint systems, as well as contributing to the creation of reports and information documents.
