Job description
HGV CLASS 1, Milk Tanker Tramper Delivery Driver, required 4 on 4 Off Rota, in a permanent role, due to expansion of our operations, running out of the ENDON (Stoke-on-Trent) depot. The job is mainly using liner/reload tanks of fresh milk, delivering to dairies and third party producers, ensuring the safe unloading of the milk and getting the internal cleaning of the tank (CIP) done correctly, ready for your next collection and delivery.
These positions will involve a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (Tramper) with nights out.
Ensuring vehicle is kept clean, completing defect sheets and reporting any faults to the transport or depot manager, maintaining lubricants and coolant, Keeping records of delivery notes and running sheets as per load.
Good rates of pay, additional for weekends and uniform provided. These are permanent full time roles.
Previous experience in liquid loads is desirable but not essential.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Valid clean licence
- Digital Tachograph and full Drivers CPC
- 12+ Months HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Flexibility, strong work ethic and self-motivation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Good level of numerical literacy
Benefits:
- Salary based on hourly rate and paid monthly: Circa £33,000 per annum
- Weekdays £15 & Weekends £16 per hour (with effect from 01/06/24)
- Night out rate £25.00
