The Old Rectory is a residential service, which is located in the village of Brede, in East Sussex. We support 15 males and females who are autistic or have a learning disability. The service is located in a semi-rural location, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

We provide high quality, bespoke, meaningful activities for our residents both on site and in the community, tailored to meet their individual’s needs.
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to deliver a broad range of therapeutic, social, and rehabilitative activities for the people we support. The role is focused on promoting self-esteem, encouraging independence, and helping individuals develop essential daily living skills.
You will play a key part in creating meaningful opportunities that improve wellbeing, build confidence, and support recovery and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a wide range of tailored activities and structured programmes to meet individual needs and abilities
- Facilitate both individual and group activities that encourage participation, engagement, and social interaction
- Take part in wider site-based and home programmes, as agreed with your line manager
- Observe, record, and report service user participation and progress in activities
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including healthcare documentation and computerised systems
- Use a creative approach to design engaging and purposeful activity sessions
- Liaise with external educational, vocational, and leisure providers to expand opportunities for service users
- Contribute positively to service development by suggesting improvements and new ideas
- Promote the service in a professional and positive manner at all times
