Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes
- Support food production processes by measuring ingredients and following recipes accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Help with food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and decorating baked items
- Ensure all ingredients and supplies are stocked and stored correctly
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to uphold hygiene standards
- Support the team during busy periods by providing efficient assistance in daily bakery operations
Requirements
- Passion for baking and food preparation
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential
- Basic understanding of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior staff
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Must be aged 16 or over and able to commit to the apprenticeship schedule
