About us:
Devoted Home Care has been operating since February 2021 and has grown to cover the following areas - Ashford, Romney Marsh & Folkestone.
Devoted Homecare employs a small team of 27 community care workers and office staff, and support around 60 clients with varying levels of needs.
What we are looking for:
We are looking to recruit hardworking, dedicated and motivated individuals to join us at Devoted Homecare as community care workers so we can help more people remain independent in their own homes.
Previous care experience is not always necessary as we provide full training and will ensure you are paired with an experienced care worker until you feel competent and ready to work alone. After a successful probationary period of 3 months we will offer you the opportunity to complete funded Diplomas' in health and social care.
We are currently only looking for community care workers who drive due to the locations of our clients.
We are looking for community care workers who enjoy working as part of a team, working closely with other colleagues and who are also happy to work alone and on their own initiative. Our candidates will be people who genuinely enjoy helping others.
We are looking for carers who can work a variety of the following shifts:
07.00 - 15.00
15.00 - 22.00
17.00 - 22.00
Due to the nature of the business and needs of our clients, work runs 365 days a year. We would expect all fixed hour care workers to work every other weekend, and days that might include bank holidays.
What our carers do:
Our fantastic team of community care workers are required to carry out full personal care tasks, such as washing and bathing customers, continence care and oral care. Our community care workers also assist with cooking and meal preparation, medications and domestic duties such as light housework (hoovering & dusting), cleaning bathrooms, bedding changes etc.
All of our community carers are required to use their own mobile phones to complete mandatory visit notes for clients, and must have access to their own reliable vehicle.
Devoted Homecare has a small fleet of vehicles which can be used by carers when available, but must still have access to their own vehicle due to rural location of our office.
What we can offer you:
We can offer you additional training and support when you need or want it. We will provide you with a DBS and uniform which all paid for by the company.
We provide you with unlimited, free, PPE.
We pay fuel mileage allowance of 25p.
We pay your travel time at £12.71ph, to ensure you are paid for all of the time you are working, not just time with your clients.
We pay double pay on all bank holidays.
We pay 5.6 weeks annual leave, pro rata.
Our rates of pay and contracts:
We pay enhanced rates of pay for increased level of service.
We pay enhanced rates of pay for weekends.
We pay enhanced rates of pay if you have a relevant NVQ/Diploma.
Whilst our contracts are zero hour, we are usually always able to fulfil hours individuals need.
