Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant bar environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and managing the overall smooth running of the bar. Previous experience in bar, restaurant or hotel settings is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage daily operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards in line with health regulations.
- Assist with food production and kitchen tasks as needed, supporting team members in food preparation and serving.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through attentive service and professional conduct.
- Lead by example in hospitality standards, including serving customers, managing complaints, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitor staff performance, provide training when necessary, and foster a positive team environment.
- Enforce compliance with food safety regulations and organisational policies across all areas of the bar.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service to enhance their experience.
Qualifications
- Team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally in a bar or similar setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Barista experience is advantageous but not essential .
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
