About the role
Classic Quartz Stone is looking for a reliable Delivery Driver to join our transport team. You'll be delivering quartz and stone slabs to fabricators, trade customers and sites, driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.
This is a hands-on role. Our product is heavy, high-value and fragile, so we need someone who takes real care over loading, securing and handling — not just someone who can drive.
What you'll be doing
- Driving vehicles up to 7.5T on multi-drop delivery routes
- Loading, securing and unloading slabs safely using A-frames, clamps and lifting equipment
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Completing delivery paperwork and obtaining customer signatures
- Representing the company professionally at customer premises
- Assisting in the warehouse between deliveries when required
- Working in line with tachograph, drivers' hours and health & safety regulations
- Any other ad-hoc duties as and when required
What we're looking for
Essential
- Full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement (7.5T)
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- Minimum 5 years' commercial driving experience
- Maximum 6 penalty points, no DR/DD endorsements
- Physically fit — the role involves manual handling of heavy materials
- Good customer-facing manner and reliable timekeeping
- Available to start immediately
Desirable
- 2+ years' experience in the quartz, stone, glass or worktop industry
- Experience handling slabs and using A-frame trailers or stillages
- Forklift / counterbalance licence
- Knowledge of local delivery routes
