Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and caring Early Years practitioner to join our wonderful baby room team. This position is 3 days a week Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8-6.15. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and have previous specific experience working with under 2s. The should have a genuine love for nurturing young children’s development alongside a caring, calm and thoughtful manner .
This role involves creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for our youngest children to learn and grow. You will be responsible for implementing daily care routines and engaging educational activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of children in your care.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages children to explore and learn through play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to each child's development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment that supports all aspects of child development.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and contribute to its overall success.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children under 2 in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
- A minimum level 2 qualification in Early Childhood Education is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, with the ability to inspire young learners through creative teaching methods.
