Wilkinson Dynamic Balancing Limited have been providing specialist dynamic balancing services to all industries for over 30 years. Our aim is to work with our customers to provide the best possible service in the balancing of rotating machinery. We have a close knit team of highly skilled engineers who are knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated to providing the best possible service to our customers.
We are looking for someone with experience in mechanical engineering or tool room machining with the right attitude to join our balancing team. We are also open to apprentice applications if you can demonstrate that you are motivated, willing to learn, driven and ready to thrive in a busy engineering environment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled, motivated and driven individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background (ideally tool room experience) and be proficient in turning and milling. Welding experience is not required but is desirable. We will provide training in the principles of balancing as required. The successful applicant will be responsible for balancing all types of rotating parts, from farm machinery to Formula 1 and aerospace components.
Duties
- Operate and set up machines such as millers, lathes, saws and drills to perform balance corrections and manufacture tooling.
- Learn to set up and run all kinds of balancing machines
- Maintain workshop equipment by cleaning and performing regular maintenance
- Interpret engineering drawings and work to procedures
- Follow H&S procedures
Experience
- Essential: mechanical engineering knowledge, ability to use millers, lathes, saws etc
- Desirable: welding
- We are also open to apprentice applications (pay will be adjusted accordingly).
Working Hours
- Mon to Thurs - 07:30 to 16:30
- Fri - 07:30 to 12:30
- Overtime as and when required.

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39.0 per week
