We’re now looking for an ER Advisor to join our Central People team, providing expert ER support across our national care network.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive function where high standards, continuous improvement, and kindness go hand in hand — and where you’ll be trusted to manage complex cases while continuing to develop your professional capability.
Salary: Up to £36,000 per year
Location: Hybrid – Alcester Support Office
As an ER Advisor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality, ER‑focused People support across the business. Operating in a regulated care environment, you’ll manage a high volume of cases, including complex and safeguarding‑related matters, while ensuring fair, consistent, and legally sound outcomes.
You’ll work closely with managers at all levels, providing clear, confident advice, helping to manage risk, and supporting the delivery of best‑practice people management across our services.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving operational environment and enjoys balancing technical ER knowledge with strong stakeholder relationships.
- Managing end‑to‑end employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters
- Advising managers on safeguarding issues in line with care sector standards
- Ensuring consistent application of People policies and employment law across the business
- Contributing to the review and development of People policies and processes
- Maintaining accurate case documentation in line with legal and organisational standards
- Working closely with People Business Partners, Safeguarding, L&D and Operational leaders
- Proven experience in an ER or People Advisor role managing complex, high‑volume caseloads
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, regulated environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisation, judgement and attention to detail
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Experience within the care sector or a similarly regulated environment
- Experience updating or rewriting People policies
- Involvement in ER training or organisational change initiatives
