Burflex Projects Ltd is a long-established Yorkshire based NASC accredited scaffolding company with depots in Hull, Leeds and Sheffield. We are looking for a Yard Operative for scaffold yard works in the Leeds Area.
Job Title: Yard Operative
Department: Logistics
Reporting to: Logistics & Yard Manager
Job Summary:
· The role will involve preparing orders, goods in, goods out, housekeeping, servicing parts and remanufacturing.
· Within the role you will be required in busy periods to work additional hours which will include early mornings, late evening and the odd weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickups (load, pack, label, ship)
· Receive and process warehouse and yard stock
· Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
· Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation
· Ensuring canteen and toilets are left clean at the end of each shift
· Perform daily checks of FLT and report any defects
· Repair damaged tubes and boards using onsite equipment (full training provided)
· Servicing fitting ensuring all parts have the correct components
· Closing yard gates on a night and putting keys in the key safe
Qualifications and Experience:
· Counterbalance License
· Experience of working in demanding environments
· Bulk stacking and drive in racking experience
· Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
· Ability to lift heavy objects
