Mann Williams is looking for a Civil / Drainage & Flood Risk Engineer to become part of our expanding infrastructure team. The Role
Working alongside experienced engineers, planners, architects and environmental specialists, you’ll assist in the delivery of drainage and infrastructure solutions across a wide range of developments.
Typical responsibilities include:
● Producing surface water and foul drainage strategies
● Preparing Flood Risk Assessments
● Designing attenuation, infiltration and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
● Carrying out drainage calculations using InfoDrainage
● Preparing applications for statutory approvals and water companies, including Sections 104, 106, 185 and 50
● Preparing Land Drainage Consent applications
● Supporting FRAP and Environment Agency Environmental Permit applications
● Assisting with hard landscaping and infrastructure design
As you develop within the role, you’ll also undertake site visits, investigate existing drainage networks, supervise specialist site investigations and liaise with clients, Local Authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities and the Environment Agency.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong technical ability and a genuine interest in drainage and flood risk engineering.
Ideally you’ll have:
● Around two years or more of consultancy experience
● Experience assisting with or preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports
● Experience designing surface water and foul drainage systems
● A good understanding of SuDS principles and current UK standards
● Knowledge of attenuation and infiltration design
● Experience using InfoDrainage
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
● Progress towards Chartered status (MICE or CIWEM) would be beneficial
● A full UK driving licence
● The ability to obtain CTC / Level 1B National Security Clearance

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
