Salary: £32,500 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Margaret's Rest Home is a welcoming 27-bed residential care home in Northampton, currently going through an exciting period of positive change. Following the appointment of our new Registered Manager, we're building a strong management team to help drive the home forward - and we're now looking for an experienced, dynamic Deputy Manager to join us.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Carer or current Deputy Manager who is ready to take the next step, help shape the future of our home, and lead a motivated team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
About the Role
Reporting to the Registered Manager, you'll support the leadership and day-to-day operational running of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led support in line with CQC regulations and our own high standards.
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership in the Manager's absence
- Supervise, support and motivate senior carers and care staff
- Champion safeguarding, risk management and safe medicines practice
- Support care plan reviews, audits and quality monitoring
- Contribute to staff supervision, appraisals and training
- Help maintain accurate records and CQC-ready documentation
- Promote residents' dignity, choice and person-centred care at all times
What We're Looking For
- Experienced Senior Carer or current Deputy Manager within residential care
- Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Level 5 working towards desirable)
- Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding
- A dynamic leader with high care standards, able to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent organisational skills and a hands-on, can-do approach
- Full flexibility to work 2 weekends in 4 as part of the shift and on-call rota
- Driving licence preferred
