The opportunity
Are you an experienced CNC machinist thinking about a change of pace? This is a permanent opportunity to move off the machines and into a hands-on tool setting and management role at an established engineering company in Atherton. You'll use your machining knowledge every day — just without the production pressures.
What you'll be doing
- Managing tool changes across CNC turning and milling machines
- Setting tools, checking offsets and ensuring machines are set up correctly for production
- Maintaining the tool store — ordering, tracking and organising tooling and consumables
- Supporting machinists on the shop floor with tool-related queries and issues
- Working closely with the production team to keep things running smoothly
Minimum experience, training and qualifications required for the rate of pay quoted
- Background in CNC machining — turning, milling or both
- Working knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, offsets and tool management
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings
- Legal right to work in the UK
What's on offer
- 39-hour week, day shift, with an early finish on Fridays
