Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks accordingly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems and handle payments efficiently.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible serving and prevent over-intoxication, following all legal regulations.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and other essentials to ensure smooth service.
- Collaborate with team members to create a lively atmosphere that encourages guest enjoyment while maintaining safety and order.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or bar setting is required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and excellent serving skills are essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with food safety standards ensures that all beverages are prepared in a hygienic environment.
- Basic math skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing inventory.
- Effective time management allows you to prioritize tasks during busy hours while maintaining high service standards.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems is advantageous but can be learned on the job.
