We’re looking for a talented Tailor who is just as comfortable behind the sewing machine as they are speaking with customers.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will combine excellent tailoring skills with a warm, professional approach to customer service. You’ll handle garment fittings, alterations, and repairs, while also assisting customers with inquiries, bookings, and style advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform alterations, repairs, and custom tailoring to a high standard
- Take accurate measurements and conduct fitting appointments
- Provide professional advice on garment adjustments and fabric care
- Greet customers and handle inquiries in person, by phone, or online
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and display area
- Handle payments, manage orders, and update customer records
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a tailor, seamstress, or alteration specialist
- Strong sewing and garment construction skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, patient, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Basic computer or point-of-sale skills (training provided if needed)
