The Role
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, staff welfare, education, safeguarding, and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing inspirational leadership and supporting the professional development of the nursery team.
- Ensuring full compliance with the EYFS Framework, safeguarding requirements, and all statutory regulations.
- Leading the nursery towards achieving and maintaining Outstanding practice.
- Managing occupancy, budgets, staffing, and resources effectively.
- Building positive relationships with children, families, professionals, and the local community.
- Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision, and performance management.
- Promoting our Montessori-inspired philosophy and eco-conscious values throughout the nursery.
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing culture where everyone feels valued.
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation across the setting.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 6 or above desirable).
- Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Leader within an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing nursery operations, compliance, and quality improvement.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families.
- A commitment to our values, vision, and mission.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
Desirable:
- Montessori qualification or experience.
- Experience leading an Ofsted inspection resulting in a Good or Outstanding judgement.
- Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally conscious practice..
