Position: Joiner - Craft 2 (Facilities Management and Building Services)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: PAYE: £15.62 Per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out a wide range of joinery and carpentry duties within facilities management and building services environments
- Undertake repairs, maintenance, and installation works including doors, windows, flooring, fixtures, fittings, and general woodwork
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and job instructions accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, and joinery equipment safely and effectively
- Carry out first and second fix joinery works as required
- Diagnose faults and complete repair works to a high standard
- Maintain accurate records of completed works and report any issues to supervisors
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and organisational procedures
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
- Provide a professional service when working in occupied buildings and interacting with customers, staff, and service users
- Work collaboratively with other trades and facilities management teams to complete tasks efficiently
Person Specification
Must-Have Requirements
- Minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in Joinery/Carpentry
- Previous experience working as a Joiner within maintenance, construction, or facilities management environments
- Strong practical knowledge of joinery repairs, installations, and general building maintenance
- Ability to use a range of hand tools and power tools safely
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures and safe working practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Up-to-date CV

Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience working within a local authority or public sector organisation
- Experience in facilities management or building maintenance services
