**WEEKEND WORK ONLY**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member run our rugby club kitchen. This role involves the preparation and serving of high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen while ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable industry experience.
Responsibilities
- Meal preparation and food presentation in line with established recipes and standards
- Support kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and maintaining cleanliness
- Ensure food safety and hygiene protocols are strictly followed at all times
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously, maintaining a high level of customer service
- Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and restocking supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Skills
- Experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong understanding of food preparation and meal assembly techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene procedures
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and serve customers
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn in a fast paced kitchen
- Previous kitchen experience or culinary qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory
- Ideally Food Hygiene Level 2 qualified but happy to train the correct candidate
- Working days are Saturdays and Sundays only
