Maintenance Estimator / Assessor

Nexus Property Maintenance is looking for an experienced Maintenance Estimator / Assessor to support our residential property maintenance operation.
This is a varied role combining quoting for general maintenance works, property visits and occasional hands-on maintenance work.
The Role
Your main responsibility will be turning engineers’ assessment notes, photographs and job information into clear draft quotations, which will then be reviewed and approved by a manager.
You may also be required to:
- Visit properties to assess maintenance issues and determine the works required
- Estimate labour and material requirements
- Support the field team with hands-on maintenance work during busy periods
- Use our job management software to review and process jobs
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need previous hands-on general property maintenance experience and a good understanding of common repairs within residential properties.
Experience in social housing, letting agency or reactive maintenance would be advantageous.
You should also be:
- Comfortable using a laptop and job management software
- Able to communicate clearly in writing
- Confident assessing maintenance issues and recommending practical solutions
- Using our quoting formula
- Flexible enough to move between desk-based and hands-on work when required
Working Arrangement
- Up to 30 hours per week
- Self-employed contractor position
- Flexible mixture of estimating, assessments and field work
- Additional weekend work available
Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
