Domiciliary Care Worker (Community Care Assistant)Job Summary
We are looking for compassionate, caring and reliable Domiciliary Care Workers to join our growing team. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to adults and older people living in their own homes, enabling them to remain safe, independent and comfortable within their local community.
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will support individuals with their daily living activities while promoting dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing. You will build trusting relationships with clients and work closely with families, healthcare professionals and the wider care team to deliver outstanding care in accordance with CQC standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in clients' own homes.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and continence care.
- Support clients with medication administration or prompting in line with care plans and company policies.
- Prepare meals and drinks while supporting clients with nutrition and hydration.
- Assist with mobility, transfers and the safe use of mobility equipment where required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing.
- Support clients with shopping, attending appointments and accessing community activities where appropriate.
- Assist with light household duties, including cleaning, laundry and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
- Monitor clients' physical and emotional wellbeing and promptly report any concerns or changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate electronic or written care records following every visit.
- Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, safeguarding procedures and infection prevention and control policies.
- Promote independence by encouraging clients to participate in activities and daily tasks wherever possible.
- Work professionally and collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals and family members to ensure continuity of care.

- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, home care, community care or residential care.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards one).
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred for community-based care roles).
- Experience supporting people living with dementia, physical disabilities, learning disabilities or long-term health conditions.
