Senior Residential Support Worker – GOOD-Rated EBD Children’s Home
Location: Ascot
Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum
Shifts: 8:00am–10:00pm and 10:00pm–8:00am
I’m recruiting on behalf of an established children’s care provider seeking experienced Senior Residential Support Workers for its GOOD-rated EBD children’s home in Ascot.
You will lead shifts, support the wider care team and provide safe, consistent and person-centred care to children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading shifts and supporting Residential Support Workers
- Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Supporting daily routines, education, activities and independence
- Implementing care plans, risk assessments and behaviour-support strategies
- Managing challenging situations calmly and appropriately
- Completing accurate records, reports and handovers
- Promoting safeguarding and maintaining high standards of care
Essential requirements:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification
- Experience within a children’s residential care setting
- Experience supporting young people with EBD or complex needs
- Confidence leading shifts and supporting junior team members
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and children’s home regulations
- Flexibility to work both day shifts (8:00am–10:00pm) and waking-night shifts (10:00pm–8:00am)
