Dreami Play Café is looking for an experienced, friendly and proactive Café & Play Manager to join our team.
This is a hands-on management role, not a desk-based position. You’ll lead by example and work alongside the team in all areas of the café, helping to ensure Dreami remains a welcoming, organised and enjoyable space for children and their families.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support the team while working hands-on alongside them
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the café
- Prepare and serve coffees, drinks and food
- Confidently use a manual/semi-automatic espresso machine
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety
- Monitor stock and supplies and place orders when required
- Support our children’s play sessions, birthday parties and special events
- Manage opening and closing procedures
- Help keep the café, play areas and facilities clean, organised and running smoothly
What we’re looking for:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar café, hospitality or supervisory/management role
- Previous barista experience and confidence using a manual or semi-automatic coffee machine
- Good understanding of food preparation and hygiene
- Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Friendly, proactive and positive attitude
- Comfortable working in a busy, family-focused environment
- Willingness to work across all areas of the business and lead by example
- Availability to work 4–5 days per week, including weekends
Please note: Dreami is a play café, not a nursery or childcare setting. This role does not involve looking after or supervising children; parents and carers remain responsible for their children at all times.
