Watts Construction Ltd is looking for an experienced TIG Fabricator/Welder to join our growing team in Chatham.
This is a full-time, permanent position working on a variety of bespoke architectural and structural metalwork projects. We offer competitive pay, regular overtime, a supportive team environment, and long-term career opportunities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Fabricating bespoke architectural and structural metalwork
- Daily brake press operation
- TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel to a high standard
- Laser welding (training provided)
- MIG welding where required
- Sheet metal fabrication and assembly
- Cutting, folding and forming sheet metal
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Working to BS EN ISO welding standards
- Working closely with experienced fabricators to deliver high-quality projects
Essential Requirements
- Skilled Brake press operating
- Extensive fabrication and welding experience
- Strong TIG welding experience with aluminium and stainless steel
- MIG welding experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
Hours
- Full-time
- 40-hour min working week
- Regular overtime available (typically up to 60 hours per week if desired)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x your hourly rate (after 40 hrs)

- £17.50–£19.00 per hour, depending on experience
