Topguard kennels are looking to add 2 full time members to our small team.
We are a busy, well established breeding kennels for the Boerboel.
We are currently looking for hardworking, enthusiastic animal lovers to join our team.
Someone that can help us provide a high standard of care, welfare, and husbandry for dogs within the care of Topguard Kennels, ensuring all animals are cared for in a safe, clean, and enriching environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to feeding, exercising, cleaning, wellbeing checks, walking the dogs, socialising puppies and site maintenance etc.
The ideal applicant would be someone who has gained qualifications in animal care, experience working at kennels or has had experience around large breed dogs (this does not include looking after family pets).
Must be able to confidently handle 40kg plus dogs
We also specialise in boarding large breed dogs for clients, again mainly 40kg plus. Some dogs having difficult behaviours so knowledge of dog body language and behaviours would be a bonus.
This is a set 5 day per week position that will include 1 weekend day. Hours are 7:30 – 16:30 or 8-5.
Bank holidays including Christmas & New Year will also be required if they fall on your working day.
You must be hard working, enthusiastic, and passionate about dogs. Preferably someone over the age of 25 that holds a full, clean, UK driving license with a car due to there being no public transport in the area.
You must be able to work as part of the team, as well as being self-motivated.
You must be physically fit and able to work in all weathers. Uniform and training courses will be provided.
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
