HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers ! Permanent Position!
Arm Transport Ltd is looking for an experienced, reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our established transport operation.
We are seeking drivers who takes pride in their work, looks after their vehicle and understands the importance of safety, compliance and professional customer service.

The Role
The successful drivers will be responsible for:
- Completing UK-wide deliveries and collections
- Tramping throughout the working week
- Completing thorough daily walk-around checks on both the vehicle and trailer
- Reporting all defects immediately
- Ensuring loads, equipment and pallet trucks are properly secured
- Following tachograph, drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive requirements
- Completing all required delivery paperwork accurately
- Communicating professionally with customers, site staff and the transport office
- Keeping the vehicle cab clean and in good condition
- Following company policies, customer site rules and health and safety procedures
- Taking reasonable care of the vehicle, trailer and company equipment
- Reporting delays, incidents, damage or compliance concerns promptly
Essential Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 / Category C+E driving licence
- Minimum of five years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Proven UK tramping experience
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK drivers’ hours, tachograph rules and Working Time regulations
- Good understanding of vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
- Experience with curtainsider and general haulage work preferred
- Ability to secure loads correctly using straps and other appropriate equipment
- Good communication and paperwork skills
- Professional and respectful attitude when dealing with customers
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Safety-conscious with a strong compliance record
- Able to provide references from previous employers
- No serious driving convictions or recent major infringements
- Good standard of spoken and written English

Drivers must be professional, dependable and fully compliant at all times. Regular lateness, poor vehicle care, incomplete checks, tachograph infringements or unsafe working practices will not be accepted.
