Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our team in Selsey, offering both full-time and part-time positions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation with a commitment to delivering high-quality meals. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist in menu planning and meal presentation to optimise visual appeal and flavour
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and equipment
- Manage stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and monitor expiry dates to minimise waste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers when required
- Follow health & safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or working within a professional kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- A passion for culinary arts and creating enjoyable dining experiences
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
