Va-Va-Voom Ventures is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Head Chef in a new position for a large fine dining establishment in Belfast. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and innovative dishes, as well as the ability to manage and motivate a team of culinary professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute menus that are creative, seasonal, and locally sourced for a Modern European cuisine focussed establishment
- Manage inventory and ordering of all food products
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- At least 5 years chef experience. - Proven experience at Senior Sous Chef level or higher in a high-volume fine dining restaurant or hotel environment operating to Michelin Red Bib or above standard.
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and calmness
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
