Are you an experienced hospitality leader ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an exceptional Deputy General Manager to join a prestigious 5-star island resort on Scotland’s stunning west coast.
This is a rare opportunity to work in one of the country's most breathtaking locations, helping to lead a luxury operation renowned for delivering world-class guest experiences. As Deputy General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the resort, ensuring the highest standards of service, operational excellence, and team engagement are consistently achieved. Luxury resort Deputy General Managers are typically responsible for overseeing multiple departments, driving guest satisfaction, supporting financial performance, and leading teams across the operation.
The Role
- Support the General Manager in the overall leadership of the resort.
- Drive exceptional guest experiences across all departments.
- Lead, motivate, and develop department heads and operational teams.
- Ensure the smooth running of Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Spa, and Guest Services.
- Monitor service standards and implement continuous improvements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and cost control initiatives.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
- Act as the resort's senior leader in the absence of the General Manager.
About You
- Proven experience in a senior management role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Strong operational background with excellent knowledge of Food & Beverage and Rooms Division.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Commercially aware with strong financial acumen.
- Inspirational leader with the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams.
- Calm under pressure with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience within 4★ or 5★ hospitality is essential.
