Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Duties
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and reordering supplies as necessary
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the pharmacy setting
- Offer compassionate patient care, addressing questions or concerns related to medications or treatments
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role is essential
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical products
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous but not essential
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
