We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to residents in care homes or clients receiving home care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and wellbeing. This role involves assisting with daily activities, supporting care plans, and maintaining effective communication with colleagues and clients. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about caring for others and committed to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Monitor and record vital signs and health status, reporting any concerns to senior staff
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support with light domestic duties within the care setting
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent care delivery
- Assist with transportation or driving duties related to appointments or outings (if qualified)
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care plans
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving transportation duties
- Ability to adapt to different situations and handle sensitive information discreetly
- Must be registered or willing to register with social care Wales
- Should/must have care certificate and are willing to be signed up for more care certification.
- Must be willing to undergo enhanced dbs

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
