Hours: Daytime only. Minimum Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, with scope for more hours for the right person
About us
Manor Farm is a converted farm site near Oldcotes with a busy events programme, a farm house available for weekend lets, a barn café, regular markets, and a handful of independent businesses trading from our courtyard. Food is at the heart of what we do, and we're looking to strengthen our kitchen team.
The role
We're looking for a Chef de Partie to support our head chef in the barn café kitchen. Day to day this covers food prep, cooking to order, keeping the kitchen running smoothly during service, and helping maintain our food hygiene and safety standards. This is daytime work, no evening shifts.
We're genuinely open on experience level for this one. You might already be a trained cook or chef looking for your next role, or you might have a real passion for food and cooking and want the chance to be trained up properly by our head chef. Either way, what matters most to us is a good attitude, reliability, and a bit of culinary flair.
What we're looking for
- A genuine interest in food and cooking
- Ability to work well under pressure during busy service periods
- A team player who's happy to muck in
- Available to work a minimum of Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, daytime hours
- Food hygiene certificate is a bonus but not essential, training can be provided
- Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not required for the right candidate
Pay and progression
£13.00 to £15.00 per hour depending on your experience and skill level. For candidates without formal training, there's real scope to develop your skills and progress under our head chef's guidance.
To apply
Please send your CV, or a short message telling us about your experience (or your enthusiasm, if you're newer to kitchens), along with your availability.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16.0 per week
Benefits:
- Company pension
- Free parking
- On-site parking
