Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Function Staff to join our dynamic team. This role requires bar work and the service of alcohol so all applicants must be aged 18+ for legal reasons. Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements during functions and events
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene
- Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times during service
- Assist with food preparation tasks as required, supporting the culinary team where necessary
- Manage guest requests promptly and courteously, providing excellent guest services
- Upsell menu items and promote special offers to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, counters and storage spaces
- Support the setup and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring all areas are prepared according to specifications
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently throughout all duties
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Experience in serving or guest services roles will be highly regarded
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary environments is also beneficial
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and billing processes
