Summary:

The Property Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Council's property portfolio adheres to all statutory compliance requirements. This position is integral to a focused compliance initiative aimed at identifying non-compliance issues, executing corrective measures, and ensuring the estate is prepared for seamless integration into routine operations. The manager will oversee site inspections, manage contractors, and track compliance, collaborating closely with internal teams and legal advisors to ensure all statutory duties are met.
Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of the Council's properties to evaluate adherence to statutory regulations.

Identify non-compliance areas and ensure that corrective actions are planned and executed.

Confirm that compliance standards are maintained across various property types and assets.

Oversee third-party contractors to ensure compliance tasks are completed within set timelines and quality standards.

Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is executed effectively and according to specifications.

Develop and manage remedial action plans, tracking their progress to completion.
Requirements:

Proven experience in property compliance, facilities management, or building maintenance settings.

Demonstrated ability to conduct site inspections and identify compliance or maintenance issues.

Experience in managing contractors and supervising the execution of works.

Comprehensive knowledge of statutory property compliance requirements, including gas safety, electrical safety, fire safety, and water hygiene.

Understanding of building pathology and mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems.

Contract Duration: 4-5 months with a local authority

Pay Rate: £421.24 per day UMB
