Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established local business that designs, manufactures and tests industrial turbochargers used in the power generation, marine and rail traction industries.
Full driving license and passport are essential.
Responsibilities
- Extensive travel to carry out service, repair and investigation work to our products throughout the UK and worldwide
- Required to work in the Napier facility in Lincoln to provide support for training and to meet business needs as required
Qualifications
Recognised time served Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3
Experience
Knowledge of turbocharger operation and medium speed diesel engines would be advantageous
Skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good timekeeping
- Good awareness of a safe working environment and duties to oneself and others within the company's EHS policy
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools for assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
- Ability to use calibrated measuring equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges swiftly.
- Able to be the fae of Napier at site with customers and uphold Napier's standing in the industry
Pay: From £36,552.05 per year
