We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Club Manager to oversee our Before and After School Club programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children, ensuring smooth daily operations, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a vibrant team while making a meaningful impact on children's development and well-being. The position involves organising activities, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of childcare and safety.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging activities suitable for children of various ages in the before and after school setting.
- Supervise children to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment throughout the programme.
- Manage daily operations, including registration, attendance tracking, and liaising with parents regarding their child's progress or concerns.
- Lead a team of childcare assistants or nannies, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies.
- Coordinate with school staff to facilitate smooth transitions for children arriving at or leaving the club.
- Maintain organised records of children's attendance, behaviour reports, and incident reports when necessary.
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes positive behaviour and social development among children.
- Organise special events or outings in accordance with organisational policies.
Requirements
Must have:-
- Must be able to work between 7.15am and 9.15am Monday to Friday and 2.45pm and 6pm Monday to Friday term time only. Plus 1 week of training/meetings the week before school starts, end of August/early September.
- Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above).
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and standards.
- Experience managing staff, rotas, and budgets.
- Proven experience in childcare, teaching, nannying or similar roles working with children.
- Driving licence is essential for transporting children or running errands related to the club’s activities.
- Fluency in English, written and oral
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with parents, children, and team members.
- A caring attitude combined with patience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Ability to work flexibly during before and after school hours in accordance with organisational needs.

- Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Pay: £14.00-£14.50 per hour
