Responsibilities
- Use hand tools and power tools to prune, trim, mow, and edge lawns and garden beds effectively
- Apply horticultural practices to promote plant health, including fertilizing and pest control
- Assist with planting new greenery, shrubs, flowers, and trees according to landscape plans
- Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify issues such as disease or damage
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring tools are properly stored
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment used in gardening and landscape maintenance
- Growing experience with plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, and other garden elements
- Strong knowledge of horticulture principles and best practices for healthy plant growth
- Ability to operate gardening machinery safely and efficiently
