Clothing and Embroidery Manager
Location: On-site (Bay38)
Reports to: Sales Manager
Overview
Bay38/Clothing House is the in-house uniform and branded workwear division under the Walsall Wood Group. We're focused on fast, reliable, and visually sharp clothing supply for automotive and trade sectors, including bespoke bundles, embroidery, and garment refresh cycles.
We’re looking for a hands-on Clothing and Embroidery Manager to take full responsibility for on-site clothing operations. This includes managing stock, overseeing embroidery and print fulfilment, and ensuring every order leaves on time, correct, and looking sharp.
This role is perfect for someone who loves process, takes pride in tidy output, and wants to help scale a modern, well-branded clothing business.
Key Responsibilities
Clothing Fulfilment & Stock
- Pick, prep, and pack clothing bundles for customers
- Manage stock levels across sizes and garments
- Handle incoming deliveries and restock accurately
- Maintain order tracking and packing accuracy (zero-error target)
Embroidery & Print Oversight
- Operate or manage embroidery and print equipment
- Set up jobs with precision and finish with pride
- Maintain clean, well-prepped embroidery workspace
- Spot and prevent any misprints or stitching errors
Workflow & Quality
- Track daily workflow to meet dispatch deadlines
- Perform quality control checks on every outgoing bundle
- Keep workspace organised, safe, and high-standard
Customer Coordination
- Liaise with Clothing House and Bay38 team on bundle requirements
- Handle priority jobs or urgent dispatches when required
- Maintain internal timelines and meet agreed SLAs
Targets
- 100% order accuracy
- On-time dispatch (within 72hrs standard, <24hr rush)
- Maintain <2% error rate on embroidery/print jobs
- Weekly reporting on orders fulfilled and stock usage
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working in an embroidery environment (industrial or commercial)
- Strong background in clothing or embroidery environments
- Detail-obsessed and tidy in their work
- Technically capable and confident operating embroidery machines (Happy Japan) and using Wilcom digitising software
- Confident with sizes, materials, and batch planning
- Calm under pressure with pride in quality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
