We are part of the Express Engineering Group who employ more than 300 employees across the two companies, Express Engineering (Gateshead) and Express Engineering (Fabrications) (trading as QA Weld Tech).
We are currently seeking a Technical Administrator to join our inspection team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our products meet customer and industry requirements.
The main duties of the role will include:
- Reviewing technical documentation to ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications.
- Verifying inspection reports and associated quality documentation.
- Producing accurate and complete documentation packs to support the on-time delivery of customer products.
- Supporting the Quality Department with administrative and documentation-related activities.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring documentation is controlled and stored in accordance with company procedures.
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve documentation queries and support continuous improvement activities.

To be successful in this Technical Administrator role at Express Engineering, you will:
- Have experience reviewing and evaluating technical and quality documentation.
- Ideally have a background in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, or a related industry.
- Possess excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Be highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing your workload independently.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a customer-focused mindset and a commitment to delivering work right first time.
- Be professional, confident, and eager to learn and develop.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
