Salary: £28,723.12 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 07:00 – 15:00
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Site Trainer to join a busy manufacturing and operations environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within manufacturing and site operations. You will receive comprehensive training across a range of production processes, with the opportunity to develop practical skills in first-line maintenance, quality control, materials handling and wider site operations.
The role is cross-functional, meaning you will be trained across different areas of the site to provide the flexibility required to support day-to-day business operations.
The Role
As a Site Trainee, you will receive training across a variety of manufacturing processes and will develop the skills required to carry out first-line maintenance activities when required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out safe, efficient and quality-controlled production and assembly processes following full training.
- Supporting a range of manufacturing processes, including production and assembly activities.
- Carrying out basic first-line maintenance on plant and equipment in line with scheduled requirements.
- Completing basic testing and quality control activities as required.
- Assisting with the unloading and safe storage of raw material deliveries.
- Supporting the receipt, movement, loading, unloading, storage and despatch of products and materials across the site.
- Supporting the safe and efficient disposal of waste.
- Accurately completing production, process and operational documentation.
- Supporting stock checking activities and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across all areas of the site.
- Providing support across other site activities as required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-conscious and keen to develop a career within manufacturing or site operations.
You should have:
- A good standard of education, including Maths and English.
- A VQ in Production/Manufacturing or previous experience within a manufacturing or operations-related environment.
- Good computer literacy.
- A full driving licence.
- Previous manufacturing or maintenance experience would be desirable.
- A willingness to undertake all required training and develop new technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following procedures and safety standards.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking responsibility for your own tasks.
Training & Development
Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate expected to complete relevant specialist training, which may include:
- Process Safety Management for Operations
- Forklift Truck Operator training
- Explosives Awareness
- SAFEX online training
- Process-specific training
- IOSH Working Safely
