Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely arrivals at designated locations
- Load and unload cargo, including flatbed deliveries, with care and precision to prevent damage
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain optimal safety standards
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation accurately and promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients and team members
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with proven experience in commercial driving environments
- Delivery driver experience, preferably with flatbed cargo handling
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy vehicle operation
- Strong organizational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo safely
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction
